About Otto J. Placik, MD, FACS

Otto J. Placik, M.D. is a well-known and respected Chicago-based, board-certified plastic surgeon and diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery who performs multiple aesthetic and cosmetic surgery procedures of the face, body and breast for female and male patients. These procedures include: breast augmentation, enlargement, revision, reduction, reconstruction, as well as liposuction, laser assisted lipolysis, laser and endoscopic-assisted lift,fat transfers of the face, breasts and body, tummy tuck, mommy makeovers, vaginal rejuvenation, and implants of the face, ears, eyes, cheeks, chin, nose, neck, body, breast, abdomen (tummy), thighs and legs.

He received his medical degree from Northwestern University, where he also completed residencies in general, plastic and reconstructive surgery. He completed a fellowship in the aesthetic reconstruction of complex nasal and facial deformities at St. Joseph Hospital in Chicago and an additional fellowship in microvascular and hand surgery at Davies Medical Center, an affiliate of the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Placik is also is an active member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is an active member of several local and national professional organizations.

Dr. Placik's hospital appointments include Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights and Evanston Northwestern Healthcare (Evanston and Glenbrook Hospitals). He is also a member of the Northwestern University Division of Plastic Surgery Teaching Staff. He holds an academic appointment as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery (Plastic) at Northwestern University Medical School. Dr. Placik is a highly sought speaker, presenter, author and educator on various surgical procedures, topics and techniques.
