He has performed over 18,000 Mohs surgery procedures and an equal number of advanced skin reconstructions and scar revisions since 1995. He is also recognized nationally in his field for his unique, minimally invasive cosmetic rejuvenation procedures with local anesthesia. Dr. Morganroth is a native of Michigan and was an undergraduate at The University of Michigan. He received his M.D. Cum Laude from the University of Michigan School of Medicine. he completed an internship at the University of Pennsylvania and a dermatology residency at Yale University. During his dermatology residency, his clinical interests focused on the advanced surgical management of skin disorders including skin cancer surgery, laser surgery, and reconstructive surgery. After completing his dermatology training at Yale in 1994, he was one of approximately 35 dermatologists in the world to begin a Mohs, Laser, and Dermatologic Surgery fellowship emphasizing skin oncology and Mohs, laser, cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. This fellowship, approved by the American College of Mohs Surgery, was completed in 1995 at the Skin and Mohs Surgery Center, Baptist Medical Center and Hunkeler Eye Clinic in Kansas City, Missouri. During this fellowship, he trained with a Mohs and laser surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, and ophthalmic plastic surgeon providing a broad foundation of surgical training. Following his fellowship, he moved to Silicon Valley to enter a private practice of dermatologic surgery in the summer of 1995.
Dr. Morganroth spent the majority of his career focusing on developing state-of-the-art, local anesthesia skin surgery techniques combining facets of dermatologic surgery, facial plastic surgery, and ophthalmic plastic surgery. His surgical results and outcomes avail dramatic and natural results with the safety and minimal downtime afforded by the use of local anesthesia. He is frequently asked to present his reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery techniques at national dermatology and facial plastic surgery meetings.
Dr. Morganroth is a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, California Dermatology Society, and the American Academy of Dermatology. As an expert in skin surgery and skin cancer, he receives hundreds of referrals a year from dermatologists and other physicians around the Bay Area and beyond for their patients in need of specialized skin cancer surgery, skin lesion removal, scar revision, laser surgery, and facial, eye, and body cosmetic surgery.
