About Dr. Lisa Michele Alford, MD
Dr. Lisa Alford is a native Washingtonian who attended Howard University College of Medicine, graduating in 1988. After completing her residency in General Surgery at Howard University Hospital in 1993, she completed a research fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco followed by a Vascular Surgery Fellowship at McGill University in Montréal, Quebec Canada. Dr. Alford has extensive experience practicing all aspects of vascular surgery in private practices in St. Louis, MO, Greenbelt, MD, and Long Island, NY. She has also recently completed a mini-fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital. Currently, she is performing ambulatory venous procedures at the Aesthetic Laser Vein Center and providing all non-invasive vascular laboratory testing. She also treats patients in the Wound Care Center at Doctor’s Community Hospital and interprets studies in the hospital’s Vascular Laboratory. Dr. Alford serves the community completely with her commitment to the Health ministry at Zion Baptist Church in Washington, D.C. and is available for lectures.
