About Richard Harbison - MD, MPH

Dr. Richard Harbison, Medical Director of My Flourish Medical Aesthetics and Wellness followed his passion to help patients define their wellness and to live a healthier life that is reflected in all aspects of their being: body, beauty and balance.

In addition to Smartlipo™, Dr. Harbison and his warm, professional staff achieve their mission by helping patients reach their personal visions and goals of beauty and wellness through a variety of procedures, such as: medical weight loss, laser hair removal and vein treatments, Botox, and dermal facial fillers, laser skin tightening and rejuvenation, wrinkle reduction, anti-aging treatments and skin care.

As a liposuction specialist, Dr. Harbison selected Smartlipo™, one of the most popular technologies to sculpt the body, remove unwanted fat and add contours. Smartlipo™ LaserBodySculpting as performed by Dr. Harbison is a less invasive technique for fat reduction and body contouring when compared to conventional body shaping methods, which reduces pain, swelling and downtime for patients. Dr. Harbison is considered a pioneer in the use of Smartlipo™ in southern Colorado. Dr. Harbison has an extensive educational background leading to his career in medicine. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology at Tulane University in New Orleans. Because of his passion for wellness and disease prevention, he went on to obtain a Masters in Public Health degree in Nutrition from the Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. While at Tulane, Dr. Harbison's mentor was Dr. Louis Ignarro who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine and Physiology in 1998. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the James A. Quillen College of Medicine in Johnson City, Tennessee. Dr. Harbison has traveled extensively throughout Europe and spent two years living in Italy, (with a special fondness for Tuscany), where he learned the European secrets of beauty and wellness.
